About Live

# Somewhere to put a game made in a weekend.

Unispawn is a shelf for browser games. Anyone can publish, a person reads every one before it goes public, and the games belong to the people who made them. It does not make games itself, and it never will.

### What holds if this stops

The risk worth weighing is not what this place looks like today. It is what happens to your game, or your subscription, if it stops.

What protects you is not a bigger company behind it. It is that nothing here is built to hold you in place.

#### If this stops

The licence you give us is non-exclusive. Your game stays yours, and it can sit on any other platform at the same time — several of the guides here tell you how.

Your build, your listing and your stats export from Studio at any time, in the format you uploaded.

If the platform closes, authors and subscribers are told before it happens, not after — a season of notice, written into the terms.

Nothing about your game depends on our code. It is a web build; it runs anywhere a browser does.

All four are in the [terms](https://unispawn.io/terms), which is the only place a promise counts.

### What you can check instead

These are true whether or not you believe us. Each is written down somewhere you can read in full, and each is checkable against the shelf rather than against this page.

#### A person reads every game

Not a scanner, not a queue that clears itself. Every build is opened and played before it is public, and a decline comes with a written reason you can answer.

[How publishing works](https://unispawn.io/publish)

#### Every game runs on its own origin

Games are served sandboxed, from a separate domain, with no access to your account or to each other. One game cannot read another game's saves, or ours.

[What that means technically](https://unispawn.io/terms)

#### The ranking formulas are published

Every shelf says what it measures, in full, including the ones a game is not on. Placement cannot be bought — there is no paid boost, no sponsored slot, no ad product.

[Read the formulas](https://unispawn.io/ranking)

#### The promises are in the terms

Non-exclusive licence, notice before closure, export on demand, no advertising. A promise that is not in the terms is a mood.

[Read the terms](https://unispawn.io/terms)

#### Unispawn does not make games

A platform that generates its own games competes with the people publishing on it. This one publishes what authors bring and nothing else, and that is a commitment rather than a plan.

[The argument, in full](https://unispawn.io/blog)

### Why it exists

Games are being made in a weekend now. Nowhere publishes at that speed with a person still reading the work. The fast places have nobody looking, and the places with people looking take months.

The other half is authorship. A platform that generates games competes with the people publishing on it, and stops being a host. Unispawn does not make games and will not. It publishes the ones authors bring.

That is the short version. The long one is a blog post rather than a page, because an argument is dated and a company page is not: [why every game needs a spawn point](https://unispawn.io/blog).

Where this is now

### The shelf is open

Games are published, authors have been paid, and the guides and formulas on this site describe what actually happens rather than what is planned. The parts of this page that were promises are now things you can go and look at.

Games

Published and playable. Go and look — the shelf is the only claim worth making.

Authors

Publishing regularly, and their pages carry their own words rather than ours.

Payouts

Running on schedule. The split and the formula behind it are public.

### Have a look at the actual shelf

The games are the argument. Everything on this page is checkable against them.
