The rules of the shelf.
The deal between you and Unispawn, in plain words. Each section starts with the short version.
The agreement
These terms are the deal between you and Unispawn — the shelf where web games made with AI go live. Create an account, join the waitlist, play or publish anything, and you've accepted them.
If you publish games, sections 05–07 apply on top of the player terms. Same deal, more moving parts.
Early access
In short — everything is pre-release; expect rough edges.
Unispawn is launching in waves. Until your wave opens, features described on the home page may change, move behind a plan, or disappear.
Pre-launch accounts, libraries and stats are real but not permanent: we may reset data before general availability. We'll warn you by email before any reset.
Your account
In short — one account, yours, 13 or older.
You need to be at least 13 to play and at least 18 to publish and receive payouts — or the age of digital consent where you live, if higher. One account per person; what happens on it is on you. Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us fast if something looks off.
Playing
In short — you get a license to play, not ownership of a copy.
Games on Unispawn run in your browser, on this site. Playing a game gives you a personal, non-transferable license to play it — here, not everywhere. Your progress is saved in the browser you played in, for that game; it doesn't follow you to another device.
Builds update for everyone at once. When an author ships build 12, build 11 is gone. That's the medium.
Publishing
In short — your game stays yours; we get the license to run it.
You keep every right you have in what you publish. You grant Unispawn a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, run, stream, cache and promote your builds — that's what a shelf does. It also covers a cover image and a short clip we may generate from your game's own rendered output, and any change to your game you ask us to make using automated tools. The license ends when you unpublish.
Publish only what's yours to publish: your code, your assets, your licenses in order. If a build includes third-party material, clearing it is on you.
Made with AI
In short — say how it was made; own what it does.
Every game states how it was made — Made with AI · model name — as plain metadata. Filling that in honestly is a condition of publishing.
Tools don't move responsibility. A build made with AI is your build — its content, its behavior, and what it does with players' data.
Payouts
In short — 85% to you, monthly, verified accounts only.
Authors receive 85% of the net revenue their games earn. Payouts run monthly once your verified balance passes $25; below that, it rolls over. Verification, tax forms and a payout method come first — payouts need a verified account.
Fraudulent plays, self-dealing and botted sessions don't count, and can end the account that earned them.
Acceptable use
In short — don't harm the games, the players or the shelf.
No malware, miners or hidden payloads in builds. No gaming other titles' stats, scraping the catalogue, reselling access or impersonating authors. No content that's illegal where we operate. The full line: if it damages players, authors or the platform, it's out.
Takedowns
We can remove a build, suspend a listing or hold a payout while we investigate a violation or an infringement claim. Rights holders can send notices to legal@unispawn.io; authors get a copy and a way to respond.
Plans and billing
In short — free while we build; two simple prices at launch.
Early access is free on both sides. At launch, playing costs $5 a month for unlimited play; if you have never subscribed, your first 30 minutes in any rolling 30-day window are free, and after that the subscription starts. Publishing is free: there is no hosting fee. Nothing moves from free to paid without notice before your renewal, and prices shown pre-launch aren't final.
Ending things
You can close your account any time; your licenses to play end with it, and earned-but-unpaid author balances still pay out on schedule. We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms — with notice, unless the breach makes that unreasonable.
The unavoidable part
Unispawn is provided as-is, without warranties, and early access is explicitly a work in progress. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the last 12 months. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes
We'll change these terms as the platform grows. Material changes get an email and at least 15 days' notice before they apply; keeping your account after that means you've accepted them.
